This is one of the more popular hikes in northern Georgia, as is evidenced by the 100 people you will meet on the trail. The trail to the main falls from the western end is about 3.5 miles or so. A lot of it is pretty easy, there are some rough sections near the end where care needs to be taken, and there is quite a bit of rock and root hopping for the first mile in, and the last mile to the falls.
