Glorious Old Man of Storr & Loch Fada sunrise

The Old Man of Storr and Loch Fada, a long exposure at sunrise taken on the Isle of Skye in Scotland during one of the Workshops I led on the Isle this last spring. Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters.

Very nice! Based on the EXIF info, we could possibly meet there. :) I haven't taken such a beautiful shot though.
The weather during that week was exceptionally nice (for Scotland) and no midges yet.

Beautiful photo! Looks like it must have been calm too with no visible grass movement. Lovely.

:) We were the three guys trying to make the most out of the (too nice for photography) weather that week! :) We saw a couple of midges, but nothing terrible. This, together with the bad hours for sunrise / sunset, is why I never go after spring, plus the light is not so great in summer. This time however I was leading a Workshop One-on-One and the gentlemen had only these dates available...

Thank you very much Matt! Yes, it was a very calm day - a while after this photo was taken, we went down to the Loch and got some amazingly perfect reflections, something that almost never happen there :)
