Xrite i1 Profiler and OS X 10.13 "High Sierras"
« on: November 20, 2017, 05:14:27 pm »

Xrite is aware of compatibility issues between High Sierras (OS X 10.13) and i1 Profiler. If your display profiles are messed up they suggest doing the following

The newly created display profile is not being applied to the display at completion. In order to take advantage of your newly created profile, do the following:
Go to System Preferences > Displays > and click on the “Color” tab
Monitor profile will then load

The other solution of course is not to use i1Profiler, but BasicColor for example, or Spectraview.

I am happy to run BasICColor 5 Display. My problem is that a display I am reviewing, the BenQ SW271 has it's own on board video processor ( as do the NEC PA and Eizo CG series) and their profilign software, Palette Master Element (PME)  is based on Xrite's software, so they are waiting for X-rite to update their software.

In the meantime I need to zero out any input from PME so I can use BasICColor 5 Display to calibrate and profile the thing.

With Xrite's i1 Profiler update to 1.7.2 , BenQ also updated Palette Master Element to be Mac OS High Sierras compliant.

I'm running i1Profiler on 2 High Sierra machines with the update - no issues.  Should get it on a third machine soon.

Does anyone know if the 1.7.2 update restores support for the i1Display2?

Works for me.
I just downloaded and installed i1Profiler 1.7.2.  I had high hopes that my i1 Display2 would now be supported.  But I suppose I should not be surprised that the app still does not recognize the device.  Have others tried this software/hardware combination, and have you had more success?

Ron, are you using an i1 Display Pro, or an i1 Display 2?
