Yes, but it would only affect amateurs because pros seldom read those sorts of publications. They tend to look at publications relevant to their work subject(s) just to check out the opposition/competition. Anyway, choices are made on many levels and for differing reasons of suitability.
If amateurs are influenced that way, it's okay, because they will just buy something else next time round. If they are happy blowing money beyond their ability to use the tools to effect, they can put it down to experience and fun.
In the end, all of these companies can make great cameras and lenses; if some go down the tubes, so be it; one will just buy something else. No, it won't lead to higher prices, because folks will either think it too expensive and just use their cellphones or, perhaps, just take up reading...
