I've used Canon cameras since the TLb, apart from a brief sojurn with Nikon when the FD mount was dropped.
Canon is the Toyota of photography, doing things slowly and conservatively. But the move to mirrorless has been particularly slow.
That said, I have been enjoying my M3 , apart from focus speed, and so am looking forward to seeing what Canon are doing in FF mirrorless.
I suspect they are taking their getting the body / lens iterface right. The new lenses for liveview (including EF-M) are STM, not the USM of EF lenses. Canon needs to get this right, given their past investment in EF lenses (of which I have six). I can't imagine they would do an FD/EF on me again. But I hope the new mount is modified for a shorter flange distance and DPAF technology, but with a simple adapter (like that for EF-M) could accept EF lenses.
