Any chance of a "Like" button?
« on: September 16, 2017, 12:18:17 pm »

As a fairly regular poster, I'm running out of superlatives for all the great work here. When forum users post individual photos or a small group of photos, I find I'm looking at them, enjoying them immensely, but not commenting as what I have to say has already been said. "+1s" could be replaced by a simple click on a "Like".

Of course, perhaps, there's no need to repetitively affirm the quality of a photo or photos. It's just nice to be able to acknowledge quality work. Is it too glib to simply "like" rather than add a true compliment?

That's about as close to a like button as you can get with this forum software  ::)

A Like button would also serve as an acknowledgement by the OP to his/her respondents without bumping up the thread repeatedly.

But then we would have people asking for a dislike button

I like it!

On the other hand, one can always use "-1"

One could always abandon LuLa and go to some of the clickable/likeable-if-not-lovable social networks instead.

I think it would just cause a sack of animosity and probable anxiety. Who needs any of that? It's nice to be different.

How about a "Well, Yes and No" button.

(Abbreviation could be "±1")    8)

That's the best suggestion yet.
Should this thread be moved into the Humor thread?   ;)

Now i'm confused: which button is more representative of following the herd like meek sheep?
A "Like" button, or a "Meh" button?
