At the suggestion of Eric Myrvaagnes , let's try posting Landscape images to a new Forum within the Art of Photography section

I guess I'm a bit confused. Does the new forum topic, which I assume is only for Landscapes, mean this forum is only for Nature? If so, perhaps it should be re-titled?

The "new forum" is the one entitled "Landscape Showcase," so it makes sense to post images there if you consider them landscapes (however broadly). You can also post them in "User Critiques" or "Without Prejudice" or elsewhere if you prefer.

If you wish to invite constructive criticism, then User Critiques seems to me the sensible choice. Otherwise, Landscape Showcase is a good choice.

That's just the way I see it.

There are other landscapes?

There are other -scapes, of course, e.g., citiscapes, boobscapes, bodyscapes. On second thought, the last two are related to Nature ;)

Can someone point me in the direction of the "boobscapes" forum! :)

I don't mind how the forum(s) are run for showing images, although I do wonder if it isn't becoming a little confusing, as well as spreading user input ever more thinly across several identical (other than the names) sections? After all, every image that I have seen that gets posted into the 'Landscape & Nature Photography' section, is automatically critiqued by everyone who cares to contribute their thoughts on each image, as are all the images in the 'User Critique' section and now we have a new 'Landscape Showcase' section which, yes you've guessed it, also has a critique for every image that is being posted in there.

So just be harry opposite for a change  :P, would it not be easier to combine all these three  identical critique style fora into one umbrella section, but have subsections tiers within it for the 'Abstract' and 'Without Prejudice' and 'Love Those Trees' and 'Clouds' and 'Sunsets' and 'Street' etc. this way each of these sub-fora sections, could be perused in an easier manner and all from one easy to find starting point?

But as I say, I don't mind how we/you choose do this, but I thought us photographers should always try to simplify things, not make them ever more complex and confusing.

Can someone point me in the direction of the "boobscapes" forum! :)

Don't worry Sierraman, I am sure if you look hard enough for the 'Boobscapes' forum, you will probably find there are two of them and other than a slight variation in cup size, they will be pretty much identical  ;D

Dave,

Maybe I'm the only one who paid any attention to where a section was located.

I never posted in the  'Landscape & Nature Photography' section because it was located under  'Equipment and techniques' and I don't generally care about equipment or techniques unless I have questions about specifics.

'User Critiques' has always been available and widely used by anyone who wants critique. If you wanted to post landscape images but do not want to invite critiques, there was no section that seemed appropriate until the 'Landscapes Showcase' was started. The one exception was Rob C's "Without Prejudice" thread which he started pretty much as a place to post images without asking for critiques.

The new setup makes sense to me and I find it not confusing at all: It is appropriate to post landscape images in three places:
   'Equipment and Techniques>Landscape and Nature Photography' if you have issues with equipment or techniques that you want to discuss;
'Photography as an Art>User Critiques' if you want to invite critiques; or
'Photography as an Art>Landscape Showcase' if you simply want to post images without asking questions about equipment, techniques, or critiques.

There is also the 'Without Prejudice' thread for posting any images without asking for critiques.
