Yosemite, my first shoot in the park
« on: May 31, 2017, 07:05:53 pm »

I just thought to post a few of my images from a shoot I did in Yosemite. This was my first shoot in this park. I was releuctant to visit this area due to the traffic and congestion that occurs with this popular park. I had a great time and really enjoyed shooting the intimate landscapes, which the area offers. I was quite surprised at the opportunites to make interesting images in this park when you look past the shots that the park is famous for. I plan to get back this autumn for ten days to shoot the fall colour.

I will post some more images if there is interest.

All images Phase One XF IQ3 100 camera with and assortment of Schneider lenses.

Thanks Eric. I really enjoyed Yosemite, I was really reluctant to go, due to the feeling I had that Yosemite has been shot to death. I will post some more images in a day or so.

These image are lovely, even on the computer they seem to show impressive detail. The first one of the tree might look better with a bit less saturation in my view.

Fine work, and refreshing to not see another "clearing storm." The second one of the flowers against the water is especially appealing.

What a great dogwood spring you had.  I particularly like your last two.

Thank you all for your kind feedback. Yosemite is an amazing spot to shoot a variety of imagery at a high level. Definitely going back this fall. I can't imagine the opportunities for photographers that live close to this park. I only had a week and just had to accept the weather and conditions that were presented to me. If I lived close to this park, picking days with fog, or snow or amazing clouds would be amazing to get incredible images.
