Show focus point used-in Sony in what software
« on: May 08, 2017, 07:04:42 am »

When I am processing images(Capture one pro trial or PS6 ACR or LR6 or Sony image data processor), how can I check to see where the shooting focus point was? I have searched and found no info. (I have to use dng converter for PS6 for raw). Thx. Have had the Sony a-6300 +Zeiss-Sony 16-70mm f4 lens 3 days.Thx.

If this info is available it would be in the mage EXIF data and a quick look at a recent shot thru Adobe Photoshop CC didn't display anything of that sort for me. Perhaps Raw Tharapee or Capture1 might list the focus point.

There's this which works with Lightroom. It doesn't list your camera but the developer is currently working on the plugin and extend his Sony support. I haven't tried it.

Doesn't Sony's software show them? Focus points are non-standard metadata and you don't find many third party apps that read them, and your options may be reduced by Sony being less common.
