Shots 159 and 160 remind me of the opening sequences of
La Dolce Vita
, with the chopper lurking above the ladies on the roof terrace, Paparazzo and Mastroianni's character trying for their 'phone numbers... sweet dreams.
Everything eventually fails. Even the once powerfully influential and leading Italian film industry based in Rome's Cinecitta has gone pretty much tits up...
