We give Luna "Chill Pills" from the pet store. They have hemp and some other herbs but nothing heavy. They work pretty well when she gets anxious and just take the edge off.
A nice walk helps too.

Hi guys, I expect the inside shots are becoming tiresome but I think this one is worth it. My little guy with his attention focused on the beagle on the TV screen.

I note you keep your TV screen high enough so your little guy can't slobber on it.   ;)

When I first got married, we had a fascinating cat named Hugo.
On our first anniversary we went out to dinner, and came back to find Hugo under the downstairs porch of our apartment (we had the second floor.)

He had apparently been hit by a car crossing the street, so we rushed him to the animal hospital. They operated on him, inserting pins to rebuild his broken leg bones, and after a few days he came home with a bag brace on the broken leg. As soon as he had energy enough to get out of the carton we had for his bed, he dragged himself to the back door, asking to go out onto our second-floor porch, from which his habit had been to jump down to the roof of the garage on the first floor, and from there to the ground.

Here he is, wondering why we won't open the door.

Now that's a cool story that makes the image even more interesting and poignant.

Nice juxtaposition. The birdhouse has a "spot" right in the same place as the cat (except it's a hole in the birdhouse.)

I suspect the birdhouse in one of cat's favorite hangouts.

Luna and I celebrated the first week of summer with some backcountry skiing yesterday. Still so much snow left at altitude! We have hiked this route this time of year with little or no snow and this year there was too much to even drive all the way to the trailhead.
Luna was thrilled to spend the day playing on it.

Summit lunch selfie at 12,380'. We were pretty hungry by then!

Luna hiking with us on the 4th. Trying to wear her out but she was still very stressed about the fireworks.

She doesn't look stressed there, playing "I'm the queen of the mountain."

Hi guys, I hope this works. The link is to a brief video (about 60 seconds) of my two elkhounds grooming one another like two cats. If you are prompted for a PW it's Jakie.

Great day to get up high today. A little hazy from fires elsewhere.
I think Luna had a good time.

Here's a couple of shots taken by a breeder of her latest litter. These guys & girls are about a month old now. This is the breeder that we've gotten our last three guys.
