She is an excellent snow dog.
I agree!
Does she ever wear boots or anything? I know dogs have built-in "pad heaters" to some extent - just wondering if she needs anything else or if she's good to go as is?
No she doesn't. She seems to be genetically well equipped for this. She does get too hot in the summer sometimes so that is when I need to be more careful I think. She will also get cold when it's
really cold out (well below zero) but on just about any day I would go out she will be fine and thrilled to be there.
Our previous dog used to get snow clumps pretty badly in her paws and also on her belly but Luna just naturally sheds snow.
I have a feeling she would not like booties. We tried them on our previous dog who was much mellower and she didn't like them either. Luna hates stuff on her like that. The cone of shame is her worst nightmare (or second worst after just being at the vet).
