Warning! Lasershows may ruin your sensor

Maybe everybody knew this but me...
Just found out the hard way that if you expose the sensor of your camera to a lasershow it may cost you some pixels.
In this case i worked on a tripod and made first a serie of photographs and then decided to make a short movie.

I guess the video was the problem in this case.

Now i have to get this spot ( 2-3 px) mapped out by Nikon service.
I think this problem could also arise with the sun in the same spot for some time.

Don't need to go to lasershows, I pointed my TV remote to my mobile (Samsung S4 Mini) at a very short distance, and its IR LED managed to burn some area of the sensor. It's only clearly visible at high ISOs, but permanent:

This is what worries me about those new car headlights LEDs as well. They peak so "loudly" at certain frequencies, it may well blind us in the long run, even though when measuring the entire spectrum with conventional methods everything stays within acceptable range.

I just came back from Nikon.
It appears the sensor is OK, but the coverglass ( plastic) has been burnt in.
I effect ; only a sensor replacement is an option to deal with it.
It was a short video - less than 30 sec that caused it... so be aware.

just yesterday i had to deal with an other lasershow.. ( they are popular)
I noticed that the laser was not able to shine directly into the eyes of the audience. But because i was the only one on the balcony that position could be effected.
So that is an additional reason why it happened, and could happen again.
