Thanks all. I let the passer-by go soft, and I'm surprised I haven't been brought to heel by the sharpness police.
I've been wanting to comment on that feature.
I think it is one of the truly great aspects of the image, a sort of "in your face" bashing of the "rule" that the closest figure must be sharp.
The fuzziness of the passer-by invites the viewer to look closely at the other figures to the left, which, while sharper, show even less detail than the passer-by.
