Epson SC 9000 Wasting Paper
« on: February 27, 2017, 03:45:11 pm »

Hi everyone. My issue is one I've encountered a few times but I've never found the root cause. I'm printing 44" wide paper, but only 2 images on a 15" long custom setting. So the print should be 44x15". However, before the printer cuts, it rolls out an extra 15" or so, essentially creating a 44x30" print size. Does anyone know what may be happening? I hate to waste all that extra paper. Thanks so much for your help!

Hello JB,

This is actually a rather easy one to answer.  You have to go to the menu and find the sub-menu named "Paper Size Check".  This is not much of an issue when printing on sheet paper, but if this setting isn't turned on it will most definitely waste a lot of paper/canvas at the end of the print.  Turn this setting on and your wastage issue will be solved.
