I saw conditions setting up for a potentially good sunset after what seems like weeks of thick overcast or completely cloudless skies. I headed out to Blue Mesa Reservoir after work and just made it for a very nice show of light and color. I chose the location for lots of options in terms of what direction to shoot. I was scrambling for some foreground interest and came across this crack where the water level lowering made these rocks appear to come up through the ice. I thought it came together reasonably well.
