In the shadow of the mountain
« on: December 16, 2016, 02:52:38 pm »

Zugspitze mountain in the heart of Bavaria. What a grand sight as I made my way around Eibsee lake on a cold German morning. I arrived while the land was still in darkness and the walk down was very slippery indeed. But I was alone, and I loved that, the greedy solitude of just my feet crunching through the fresh snow. At last the eastern sky began to brighten and I arrived where I was destined to be. The first rays of warmth slipping  through and touching a small pond ....in the shadow of the mountain.
