Tripod for Sony HVR-Z1U VideoCam
« on: July 13, 2006, 05:17:23 pm »

Hi, I am in need of a new tripod for above Camcorder because I lost the connector screw on my old SLIK Universal U112 which was quite handy and light and easy to manipulate the legs. Also it got down quite low.

Anyway I use my camcorder mostly for dog-agility shots in trials and my own practice...

Would appreciate knowledgeable input ...

Cheers, Bee

Bee,
I use a Vinton Vision 3 on a Gitzo carbon fiber.

Have you tried contacting Slik for a new screw?  Most companies will sort stuff like that very quickly and I guess it'll be a deal cheaper than new legs!
