Light modifier - Softbox for photo AND video?
« on: October 27, 2016, 08:56:55 am »

It there a softbox/umbrella-softbox solution for both photography and videography?

I would like to utilize the spftbox for photography and videography when needed. The umbrella-softbox/softbox need to be able to handle heat, of course!

What are my options?

Thanks!

I´d say the Chimera Video Pro Plus is the way to go. Not the cheapest but worth spending the money on quality gear. The "Plus" version comes with 3 different front screens which make them very versatile, with their "speed rings" adaptable to virtually everything. The "Daylite" series is excellent for continuous light (they are deeper) but probably not adaptable for strobe. Cheers!

Thanks so much!!!

I agree with Ulf's recommendation. But if you are using LED lighting and not lights that generate a lot of heat (HMI or Quartz Halogen you can get by with the standard Chimera SuperPRO X light banks.
