ACR and layers in PS
« on: October 07, 2016, 08:51:25 am »

First time poster here.

I've been looking I think all over the place if it was possible to open a group of images inside ACR in layers in Photoshop (i.e. for aligning)? The facility lives in LR, so just wondered if there kind of command in ACR that would do the same?

I'm primarily a lightroom user, but play around in Bridge sometimes if I want to work on a file on multiple computers.
You can host ACR from Bridge directly (go into Preferences > General > "Double-Click Edits Camera Raw Settings in Bridge"), do your ACR edits and click "Done".
Then open the files in Photoshop by selecting them all and clicking Tools > Photoshop > Load Files into Photoshop Layers...

Not sure I totally understand what you are asking.  You could open each of the images into a Photoshop document as smart objects, retaining the ability to edit them in ACR, but allowing steps like cropping and aligning.
