Canal Street
« on: September 20, 2016, 06:18:36 pm »

Last winter I took a weeklong trip from Memphis to New Orleans traveling straight down through the delta. Spent most of it in the delta. It was not a photography trip but I had my camera with me. I'm a long time amateur but I have a terrible time being objective about my own work. I hope to post a series of images from this trip in this forum. I'm thick skinned and will appreciate whatever criticism comes my way. It can be hard to tell what someone who posts here is really looking for. I'm open to whatever comes my way. (And since I have criticized a few of the critics here already, frank criticism is only fair.)

This shot is from Canal Street in New Orleans.

Thanks,

George

I like that a lot. Very nice composition, and exposure and processing are dead on, for my taste.
Nice!

Yes, a good night shot indeed.

Time for patting oneself on the back: Glasgow trams were twice as tall! Live with that, USA!

Thanks for the comments everyone. This image also made a very satisfying, very neutral print on Epson Premium Glossy from my Epson R2400 even though I used Epson ABW and my monitor is not yet calibrated. Blind luck maybe but I was happy.
