Singh Ray variable ND verses 10 stop B+W ND for long exposures?

I'm in the market "like today" to buy either the Singh Ray variable ND or a B+W 10 stop ND for shooting long exposures like waterfalls and architecture ............any recommendations or preferences ??

I'd go for the straight ND over the variable one.  The variable one can give you weird cross polarization effects at the stronger ND strengths, especially on wide angle lenses.

I have a B+W 10 stop and it's been good. A bit of a color cast but not hard to fix with white balance in post.

Thanks Fred I just ordered the Breakthrough Photography 82mm X4 Solid Neutral Density 3.0 Filter (10 Stop)..........I will post once I get it and report back if its as good as they say it is
