Any way to use an overlay with P1 IQ sensor unit without tethering?

I have read that you can compose with an overlay using LiveView on a P1 IQ sensor unit (aka digital back) if you are tethered to a computer running Capture One. You use this procedure to compose a new shot so it fits in/lines up with an existing shot which is overlaid on the computer screen.

What I would like to know is: is there any way to compose with an overlay on the viewing screen of an IQ sensor unit without having to tether to a computer?

Based on my use, it's a feature of CaptureOne, so it doesn't matter which camera you use.  As it's a feature of the software, it's not something the back can do on its own.  Between loading and positioning the overlay, then composing around it, it's just not what the back wants to do.

Folks have used a tethered SurfacePro's for this specific task.
