Just as well chickens don't live up trees. However, they really do fly: all they require is the right motivation (fear) and they can cross entire fields without landing. I have seen it happen in front of our terrace. Well, when we could see the field. It's now vanished behind a hedge and the field itself, once beautifully farmed, has been left to go wild due to the EEC's rules and incentives to get small farmers out of the business.

Perhaps there's the germ of an idea there to get photography back to professionals... no, perhaps not.
