Display Pixel Values as 0-255 Instead of %?
« on: May 11, 2016, 12:12:16 pm »

In LR, hovering over pixels displays the pixel values in "percentages" rather than the 0-255 values common elsewhere.  Is this selectable/changeable?

Can't be changed until and unless you invoke a soft proof. You can set the values to be shown in Lab!
The rub is this: The Lab values are presented differently than in Photoshop (more precision, without clipping values to 128) and in Photoshop, there's no provision for setting values to 0-100%. It sure would be nice of Adobe kept the various products on parity in this respect.

Thanks, Andrew.  I did notice that you can invoke LAB measurements, but I no longer play in that space.

Unless there's some opaque technical reason for this, Adobe should get this kind of inconsistency under control.  I thought that was what CC was supposed to be all about.
