I don't know where this leaves the Move pack. For a 2 head Move kit, you can buy 2 Siros L 400 and 2 Siros L 800.
The Siros would be a nice compliment but I wouldn't replace my Move packs for Siros any time soon. Apart from the amazingly small and light weight MobiLED heads that double up as video lights by just plugging into the mains charger or into one of the battery packs (without generator), what about all the specialist heads that need a pack to work? My Move powers a bron ringflash C very nicely.
The weight and the lack of weather sealing is a disappointment though.
Can a powerful, very well built monolight crammed with all the colour/power consistency and flash cut off technology of the Siros be anything but big and heavy?
And can a powerful battery studio style strobe with proper exposed tube ever be waterproof? Is the B1 waterproof? I know some manufacturers are proud of their weather sealed connections on packs but if a head got caught in a heavy rain shower wouldn't it just go bang? I for one would not let any assistant, model or client of mine near a flash head in the rain while I fire it off considering the power they store.
