If you read my review of the Legacy papers on this website, you would see that I also used them in the Canon Pro-1000 printer successfully. As well, Epson provides Legacy paper profiles for other Epson printers than the P800. Therefore I don't believe the papers are only meant to be used with this one printer. In fact it's hard to believe they would design a whole line of paper for the general market that only works with one printer model. Even if it's true that inks for the European market need to be somehow different (also a first hearing of such a thing), I think it's just a matter of profiling the papers for the different printers/inks in order to obtain fine results. So on the surface of it, none of this makes sense to me. Maybe there is more to learn!
