Polarizer - Hasselblad Ultra Wide Lenses - Recommendations
« on: April 06, 2016, 01:07:21 pm »

Hello LuLa Forum Contributors:

Thank you all in advance for your respective thoughts on the matter.

I'm a new Hassy owner (crop sensor/40 mp) and I'm new to the 95mm filter thread size world.

What is the better solution to attach a polarizer to either a 28 or 24mm lens?
Get a thin profile circular one and mount it or buy a filter system like the Lee SW150. As far as budget is concerned, both solutions are "close" enough in price where I'm okay with either direction.

Other things to note: I don't use neutral density filters.

Bill

Thank you shadowblade. I'm new to the forums.

Maybe you should think twice about using polas with wides (unless it's for some esoteric subject not involving skies, where it may be perfect), but with wide-angle skies, they usually show up very badly uneven with Pola filtering. It's unavoidable, though I suppose if you are prepared to spend hours on a shot in post, you could even it up convincingly...

Welcome to the forum - hope you enjoy it!
