[SOLD] Canon 800mm F5.6 AF/IS ($6700 - shipped) - SOLD
« on: February 25, 2016, 04:33:12 pm »

[SOLD] Price: $6,700.00 [SOLD]
Payment method: Chase QuickPay or similar
Item condition: 9 Shows signs of use, but very clean
Shipping instructions: USPostal 2 day priority (included in purchase price to Continental USA)

[SOLD] Excellent condition Canon 800mm F5.6 with AF/IS [SOLD]

Date Code: UX07xx = manufactured in 2009 at Utsunomiya, Japan. (It is a USA lens.)

Glass is mint. Lens AF and VR work 100% fine.

Photos posted here: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1414432/0#13425155

Body has some wear in the usual places (where hood attaches to the body primarily - see photo), and some small paint loss in other areas such as the lens foot (see photo) and one location on the lens barrel (see photo).

Where you see the brown camo lenscoat over the lens or lens hood, there are no marks or loss of paint on the covered parts of the lens. So lens coats do really protect the body of these supertelephotos.

Comes with all accessories when new plus a Lens Coat. That includes the original hard Canon case (mint condition - not shown...trust me it has been unused) and the leather lens hood - mint because I did not use it. Note also the black lens travel coat that I will send as well...(it is in mint shape - see photo below).

Am selling because I got a good deal on a 400mm F2.8 II Canon, and I already have the Canon 600mm F4 II.

$6700.oo includes shipping to the continental USA (2 day priority) - but not PayPal fees. Lens is fairly priced (ie., a good deal), and given that Canon is set to raise supertelephoto prices by about 15-20% in the next few weeks, sooner rather than later might be a good strategy to purchase one of these lenses used - because even used prices will rise once the new Canon prices go into effect.

I have sold and purchased long lenses on FM and Ebay...recently sold a 500mm F4 Canon at FM (within last year - see feedback and read buyer's comments); a few years ago sold a 500mm F4 Nikkor (AF/VR), as well as the Nikon 500mm F4 AI-P manual focus lens - all 100% positive feedback on those as well. On Ebay I am NYCfalcon - 100% positive etc.

Price increases by Canon and other manufacturers as of 1 April 2016:

http://www.henrys.com/Canadian-dollar.aspx?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Henry%27s%20Weekly%20Email%20Campaign%20-%20160226&utm_term=Henrys%20Newsletter%20Main#

"we would like to advise our customers that on April 1, 2016, price increases due to currency value will be in effect from most of our major camera partners, including Nikon, Canon, Sony and Panasonic. They will apply to a majority of goods from these brands. Price increases are expected to range from 10-30%, possibly even higher. These increases will be reflected across ALL Canadian retail outlets selling photographic equipment, not Henry's alone."
