Anyone have a number for how many continuous shots can be made on the D500 using fast SD? Obviously, since no buffer depth has been given, one is required to factor in the storage card performance. Nikon hit 200 shots using a XQD card (no card model specified as I am aware).
I'm thinking, for me at least, this really isn't going to matter too much. I know I would never take a 20s burst and doubt I would even take more than 5s.
I bring this up after having looked at the new Sony M Series XQD 64GB card rated at 150MB/s ($96) and the 64GB Sandisk Extreme Pro II UHS-II SD card which claims a maximum write speed of 250MB/s ($130). I find the Sandisk claim suspect beyond a momentary burst rate. I just didn't think I'd find a SD card significantly more expensive than a comparable XQD card.
