i1photo pro 2 vs. z3100 advanced profiling system
« on: February 23, 2016, 08:21:48 pm »

Been using the Advanced Profiling System included with my z3100 for some years now to make profiles of papers and canvas for my z3100, but mostly using the APS and embedded spectro on the z for making profiles for my ipf8300 these days. Been thinking of getting the x-rite i1photo pro 2. Can anyone with experience using both of these speak to the quality of the profiles? I've been fairly happy with the APS, but I don't have anything to compare it to other than manufacturer profiles. Thanks

I am also thinking of getting it. Very difficult to compare the software on the different versions.
Think I will do the proper thing and start another thread.

Using the Advanced Profiling System and the on-board spectro on the Z3100, I just made new profiles for my ipf8300 of several papers I use the most. My prints still look great and are a good match to my monitor. Hard to imagine the i1photo pro is going to do any better than this. Think I'll stick with the APS.
