Best White balance for IR converted Sony?
« on: February 19, 2016, 04:35:07 pm »

My previous experience with IR is to select custom wb and shoot green grass.  I notice the camera doesn't like this, giving out messages to that effect.  It does not seem to affect the shots, however, so I blissfully shoot away.

Is this a correct procedure?  The camera is a A7R converted to standard IR.

I had a Panasonic G1 converted to 720 and the conversion place set a custom white balance. Lightroom reports it as 2000k.

There is a setting on the camera that allows a 2700k setting, but not 2000.  I will give that a try.   8)
