I'm sure everybody who's been to the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in Death Valley has seen these clay plates and some may wonder what they are. Well, they're remains of an ancient lake bed. I took this one last September.
I'll be heading there again this evening to do one last weekend of shooting before the temperatures become unpleasant and the light gets too harsh.
