What kind of LED spot is this?

Looks like a Dedo to me.

I just received a used Profoto Multispot. While testing i noticed a strange sound. When the flash fires it almost sounds like a gunshot. I thought that the tube busted when i heard it the first time. Is this normal?

Hard to say without hearing. What pack is powering the spot, is this a three electrode tube? Does it sound the same each time you fire?

need a high quality  24" Fresnel that works with Profoto Acute and Pro heads and even hotshoe mount flashes? One that packs up (relatively small and is easy to take and use on location? Check out the K5600 Big Eye Fresnel K5600 Big Eye. Fantastic light quality.

Ellis, while I second the K5600 is a fantastic unit (even with moderate HMIs) I don´t see how it fits into this thread? This was all about creating a clear defined sharp shadow and a 24" fresnel is far from being the right tool for that.

I use Acute heads in a modified theatrical zoom-spot (identical concept to the Elinchrom product) and it sounds the exact same way - it gets everyone's attention when it first fires.

Ulf, i am using it with a Pro7s 1200 pack. And yes it sounds the same each time it fires. Though louder on higher settings.

OK, if it always has the same sound it seems pretty normal, Pro7 is a high voltage pack and I suppose you´ll get used to it :-)
Cheers!
