Advanced Black and White on an Epson 7900?
« on: January 11, 2016, 01:45:26 pm »

I thought I'd experiment some with the Advanced Black and White setting using my 7900. I have already converted a color image in PS6 to my liking and want to print using ABW but cannot. The Advanced Black and White setting is greyed out. I've tried both Printer and Photoshop manages color in the Print Settings dialogue and different papers but still ABW is greyed out. Anyone have any advice? I'm on a Mac running 10.7.5.

Thanks,
Peter

You might need to check to make sure you have "Printer Controls Color" check din the Photoshop print dialog box.

Then, in the printer settings make sure the Color Matching is set to "EPSON Controls Color".

Doing that should then allow you to choose Advanced Black and White is the dropdown for print mode.

Hope that helps,
