CO Learning Resources?
« on: January 07, 2016, 07:45:06 am »

What are folks using to learn about using CO and to grow their skills in DAM and adjustments?

I've started to list those resources here:

http://www.bobrockefeller.com/blog/capture-one-pro-learning-resources

I'd like to expand that with sources I've missed. What should I add?

Hi Bob,

Derrick Story of the http://thedigitalstory.com announced during one of his recent podcasts that he would be switching to C1 starting this year. He also mentioned he will be releasing a new video for Lynda on C1 Version 9 very soon.

Personally I have attended many of the Free Webinars provided by C1 which has been a huge help learning about C1.

Cheers!

I'll go back and add them. Sorry to have left you guys out. And I'll be looking forward to the CO9 videos.

Kevin,

Glade to hear you have a C1 9 video coming out soon. Will look forward to viewing it as I did with the 7 & 8.

Cheers!

Would it make any sense to watch the Version 8 tutorial to get a leg up on C1 until the V9 tutorial comes out?

Oh!  And something I forgot to mention: There is a special version (I think) of Capture One Pro V9 for Sony.  Will these LL videos apply to the Sony version?

I think it would make sense to watch - there are new things in v9, but a lot is still the same as v8.

I don't know much about the Sony version - my guess would be that they are very similar.

Actually I think it makes sense to watch th C1 7 videos which are very comprehensive and apply to C1 8 and 9 except for a couple of things.  I am assuming that the C1 9 videos will build on those (like the C1 8 videos did) rather than rehash everything in the 12 hour C1 7 video series.  The C1 8 series here on LL really focuses on the new things in C1 8 and does not go over all of the stuff in C1 7, most of which applies to the later versions.

Yes it applies to the Sony version although the free version doesn't have all of the functionality but a lot of it.  If you have already purchased the full version, just use the C1 Pro version as it includes all of the Sony stuff anyway.
