Shooting a 35mm in medium format - technique suggestions
« on: December 31, 2015, 10:03:38 am »

Friend, I have a Zeiss/Contax 35mm lnes on the way. I will mate it to my Leica S via the adapter. While I am no stranger to a true 35mm in the FF platform, I have never shot this 28mm equivalent and would appreciate any tips. I am aware the such a lens can cause line distortion and exaggerated scale for elements shot close - which can be a good or bad thing depending on the composition. Given the ASA challenges of my 006, I am likely to shoot this f3.5 lens at wide open or close to it, except if on a tripod. So I will be dealing with potential DOF issues hand-held as well.
Appreciate any tips (and relevant images) you might share.
Regards,
David
