I'm thinking of going to Lake Baikal and am wondering if any of you have travelled their. Do you know of any Photo Tours in this region? Is independent travel a reasonable alternative to a tour. Am interested in Landscape photography and documenting cultural events - festivals.

photo-tour company - but if you go to wilderness there, that's what you probably need, may be they can recommend/supply a guide or handle some of your logistics there, etc - the site not in English, but they shall have Engilish speaking somebody there - this particular operator was used for example by one of rawdigger / fastrawviewer authors, Alex, who likes to travel to similar places - so it is decent company... or may be ask him directly)
