I think Erik was specifically talking about Rantatorials, not overall content.

I for one think most of the Rantatorials  should probably be queued up in the normal article queue, with perhaps a header when they might considered a “rant”. I get that keeping the category separate may allow Michael and Kevin to be what they might consider a little over the top from when they write a normal article, but personally I get the fact that this is their site, and they have a right to do that in any article if they choose.

This particular article was well stated and certainly didn’t appear anything at all like a rant to me ... just a well done article with a valuable point.

We consider our rants where we can state opinion, off photo topics thoughts, frustrations, a chance to stand on a soap box, etc.  We thought it best we keep it seperate from our normal site articles.

I think it's a great idea. Much more honest and more satisfactory than what some sites do, which is incorporate blatant opinions in seemingly fact-based articles: "It's well-established that camera X is vastly superior to camera Y..."

Keep 'em coming!
