My pleasure!

There's another one I have here, which as often happens, gets infected with the insinuation of other snappers' works - now and then. Butbyherv stuff still comes through loudly and clearly!

Stunning works!!

Yes, and I think she gave the young Louis Faurer his big break in fashion photography.

Yep. We are in la crème de la crème. I don't want to sound bloody
Romantic passeist but I have to admit that I hardly
See this level in today's scene.

Maybe that helped you change horses?

But with photos of women - it's tough to beat elegance which, for me, puts glitz into the shade.

This is Balenciaga legacy Rob.
"The master of all of us" as current great fashion designers name him.
You know, I absolutly love Lady Gaga. I think she is
The maximum exponent of today's burlesque tendency.
It's fun, sophisticated, politicaly uncorrect but the talent is there.
Now... elegant, is not.
When Balenciaga realised where couture industry was going,
He retired.
As cultural codes spin in cycles, revisiting the same, I guess
There will be a time when this elegant imagery will rule
Back.

Huh, found that I'd locked the thread! Happens a lot on this iPad device...  my fingers are a bit vague.

I believe that both Avedon and Ms Bassman before him quit for much the same reasons, though I did read where she said she got out when the stylists, make-up artists and hairdressers became important. I fully understand. There has to be one boss, I think?

Freezing cold here in Mallorca; as every winter, the heating goes straight through the walls. There was snow on the mountain behind Pollensa yesterday and probably is today, but I didn't leave the apartment to find out  - did my hour's walk around and around the terrace like a prisoner somewhere...

:-)

Well Rob, I'm experiencing the prisoner syndrom too after I had the
Weired idea that I needed to break from comcrete, motorways and pollution.
As a result I went to the seaside, where life quality is supposed to be....
I hate it! To be honest. Back into the concrete jungle in spring!
Countryside, small towns are not for me!

The problem is that, usually, small towns are too parochial in every way. I also need city, if only for the photo opportunities. That, of course, is only going to be resolved if I can sell here first, but Brexit has made one big market almost vanish. People with big money bought up the big villas to get rid of pounds sterling, but my end of the market is either asleep or dead - or paralysed with fear.
