Adobe Lens Correction Profile for the Canon 16-35mm F:4
« on: September 17, 2015, 06:57:45 pm »

I would just like to say that Adobe's profile for this lens is crap when it comes to correcting rectalinear distortion and vignetting. It way overcorrects for vignetting and either over or undercorrects for distortion quite significantly at many focal lengths, depending upon the focal length. No profile for zoom lenses is perfect, I would guess, but this one is markedly inferior imo.

I have heard that DxO (and Perhaps Capture One as well) has a much better profile for this lens, but using that is impractical for me for high-volume work, for which Lightroom seems to excel.

Adobe, please fix.

Dave, use the Adobe lens profile downloader to check if someone has made a better profile using the lens profile creator program. https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5492  There also is a Mac version

Nobody has shared yet a correct custom profile for this lens on Adobe Lens Profile Downloader. It will help if we will keep alive this thread on Adobe's feedback website:
