The tunnel (2)
« on: September 16, 2015, 01:47:51 pm »

Inspired by DwayneOakes' Tunnel thread (http://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=103880.0), i remembered i had shot similar (not the same i think) tunnel weaving spider ... in my garden.

I didn't want to post in Dwayne's thread, so here it is. Please let me know what you think.

It's spookily dark and crisply focussed, but I don't get much of an impression of a tunnel.

Thanks all for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate that very much.

Yeah, i understand. It's there, but i made this one about the spider and ... indeed ... the spookiness. It's a stack of the spider lit in various ways and the dark(er) background painted back in. I'll see if i can trace some of the shots which more clearly show the "funnel".

Don't let a title diminish a nice image.  :)  I like this.

BTW, the lighting is very nice. Is it all natural, or did you add flash?

I used flash. It's actually a stack of various photos lit from different angles. That's the beauty with spiders, they can sit absolutely still  ;D ;D ;D
