I spent a couple of says shooting with one (a rental) and fell in love with it. Two friends have it and feel the same way. The zoom especially suits my shooting style, because I care more about composition and setting in my wildlife shots than I do eyelashes and fangs. It won't suffice if you are used to a 600, but it's an incredibly sharp lens. I'll be buying one the moment I can afford it.
