I agree with Mike, except I'd spell 'colours' properly  :)

I agree with Mike, too.

But since Iceland is closer to the U.S.A. than it is to either England or Australia, I think "colors" is correct.
But I'm sure Rajan can tell us the word for either "colors" or "colours" in Icelandic.

Thank you, gentlemen.

Eric,

I'm in Bill's camp, having spent my misspent youth in Goa.

I love the lines on that mountain. They create such a dynamic composition.

Very nice visual juxtaposition between the dynamics in the mountain's diagonals and the soft pastel hues.

Beautiful work, Rajan.

Interesting that you have the small white buildings down in the lower right, without some breathing space around them. It seems to be, for me, anyway, the place where my eye comes to rest (after enjoying a subliminal wander through the photograph). It's no mistake, I'm sure, so I am curious - what prompted you to "leave" the buildings there?

Dwayne, Richard, Bob, Terry - thanks.

Terry,

Those are bales of hay, in white and dark wrappers. They provide some context of the area's farms. Initially I considered cloning them out.

I was out today, bought a new set of tyres for my car.  Hope I got that right, Bill.  ;)

I think I've got it now.

Since this photo was taken in Southeast Iceland, that means it was East of the Þingvellir rift, thus on the Eurasian tectonic plate, and closer to England, so "colours" would be correct.

Of course, if the shot were taken in West Iceland, it would be on the North American tectonic plate, where "colors" would be correct.   :D
