Love that area - the Quiraing - and you've captured it well. Although without low clouds and rain, it's not as easily recognizable!

Thanks :) And yes, it was a lucky day with clouds and sun. It started out very gloomy and turned out great until the sun was rising over the cloud layer and was gone.

Yep, it's Scotland.  That place has the most amazing light. Looks like you caught it at a magic moment.  Nice.

Lovely sunrise.  I was there myself a few months ago.  If you want to know a great couple of waterfalls in the area (not seen by the tourists!) then let me know!

Thanks very much for the comments. Isle of Skye needs patience, but I'm still here and wait out for the opportunities. It's amazing how popular some of the remote and scenic locations are. At the light house cars were parked in long rows on a rainy day, amazing.

Some light came in while I waited on the second day visiting this place https://500px.com/photo/120352443/the-lighthouse-by-hans-kruse

Keep them coming! You have been successful. Despite being a native of Scotland I haven't been on Skye. Difficult to get to without a car.

Thanks Stamper, somehow you should go there :)

I have collected a gallery of what I shot so far in the first week. I still have one week more.

Great stuff - like the rainbow!  Did you find the waterfalls in the end?

Thanks very much and for your links. I was at one of the waterfalls at Sligachan this afternoon and got the following picture. Is this one of the waterfalls?

Yes, that's one of the smaller ones in the area - think I recognise it.  Great light!

I went down another path and saw some bigger waterfalls this afternoon, but the light wasn't great. I have some days still left so maybe I can try later.

Here are some shots from yesterday morning in the Quiraing walking up to overlook the two lakes.
