Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 VR delayed ?
« on: August 20, 2015, 11:34:49 am »

Hi,

Hi it seems that Nikon is delaying the lens. Maybe a defect was detected, or maybe it's just demand or production issues. Not nice for the people that are waiting for it (if true), but far better that the release-deny-recall-release cycle.

If confirmed this  could be another point in Nikon's improvement in terms of handling errors.

I truly believe that the damage done by the D600 will never be fixed, because at that moment Nikon was way ahead and they were capturing peoples imagination.
With Sony and the Batis line I don't see a new opportunity like that ever again.

Can someone that understand Japanese confirm or denny the rumor?:

The information is correct, they mention "final tuning" as the reason for the delay.

Cheers,
Bernard
