Question for moderators
« on: August 18, 2015, 01:35:03 am »

The topic I started about property releases has been locked and someone has deleted several posts.  Feel free to contact me by PM if needed, but can you tell me who locked the topic and why?  Thank you very much.  I've received a PM from another forum member who questioned why I had locked the topic and I had no clue.

I often use "Top of Page" and "Bottom of Page" links to navigate a thread. "Lock the Topic" link is very close to the "Top of Page" and I accidentally locked a thread a couple of times (my own thread, that is). Have you tried to unlock the thread?

I can't recall a post being locked without someone like Chris announcing it first. Posts getting locked is rare in these parts thankfully. So I suspect Slobodan's idea is correct.

... someone has deleted several posts...

That would be most likely the poster itself. I assume a moderator is capable of doing that too, but it would take a really offensive post for them to engage like that.

Yes, likely a mis-placed click.

(not our doing)

The OP always has control over the visibility and lock/unlock of a thread. I have unlocked it
