Tiny white dots
«

I've been using Photoshop for twenty years, so I am not a beginner. Lately I have been posting to Facebook and I have had problems with my Save for web images. I've rendered my images in ACR and the look very good but when I do a simple Save for the web I get blown out highlights or in this example lots of tiny white dots, in this case the teacup. Is there something that I am missing in the new CC version?
Cheers,

In my past experience Photoshop tends to flatten images if you "Save for web". Finding blown out highlights in Photoshop CC is a new experience that I would like to resolve!

My eyesight is not getting any better but I can still see spots. An enlarged version.

To me it looks like an over-cropped image with little noise reduction.

Looks like overly aggressive sharpening artifacts.
