ACR Update Oddity

I am currently using Photoshop CS6 and ACR 8.7.1.311

But when I click on the update feature in CS6 it tells me to update to ACR 7.

I discovered this because I wanted to update ACR to 9.1

Any clues?

just update by installing ACR directly bypassing "update feature" @ https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html

I had to go the installer route instead of the updater in CS6. No big deal.
