The reason for this title is that it took me literally months and several tens of different treatments to get something that I'm even remotely satisfied with. One treatment after another would last for a day and I'd say to myself, "Nah, that sucks." and start all over again.
It's one of those shots that you love when you take it ("Oh boy, this one's gonna be great!") and then you pull your hair out trying to PP. This was cropped down from a MUCH larger shot, there were pixelations and noise in the shadows, you-name-it.
It's a ridge line on the north side of the 166, between those famous rock spires and the Tepusquet Road turnoff.
It's sort of a continuation of my lifelong Eyvind Earle fascination that's only intensified manifold times since (re)picking up photography back in 2008. For better or for worse, because of that fascination, I find that by far the most of my landscape shots get sort of a dreamscape treatment from me, whether consciously or not.
